A: Elevate 2024, happening from September 8 - 11 in Houston, Texas, is the premier event for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) professionals. This year's conference is packed with sessions that help risk and governance professionals stay ahead, covering the latest in AI applications, ethical compliance, board management, mission-driven governance and more. Not to mention, you’ll get to take your knowledge of the Diligent One Platform and its solution set to the next level with hands-on instructional sessions. Q: How is Diligent Elevate 2024 different from previous years?
A: This year, we're focusing more than ever on practical applications. We've rebranded from the Modern Governance Summit to Elevate to reflect our goal of helping professionals rise to new levels of excellence. We've also expanded our agenda to include over 60 sessions, ensuring there's something for everyone, from powerful keynote sessions on risk in an evolving corporate, government and non-profit landscape, deep dives into AI and governance to hands-on training with our latest tools.
Q: What sessions are you personally most looking forward to?
A: We’re thrilled to have a lineup of truly outstanding speakers and sessions at Elevate this year, including one that I’m most excited for,“Wirecard: A Tale of Fraud, Whistleblowing and Audit Failure,” featuring two Wirecard insiders who exposed massive fraud and faced retaliation, legal threats and personal risks. They’ll be speaking about what boards can learn to prevent and respond to audit malpractice and misconduct. I’m also looking forward to the "AI, the Board, and Corporate Governance" session, where we'll explore how AI is transforming governance practices, as well as our highly anticipated guest keynote, Erin Brockovich – one of the most influential voices in activism and law. There are also so many excellent sessions dedicated to the government, non-profit and education sectors, including one on building trust through transparency, and another on the school board’s role in navigating security and risk.
Q: What are the continuous learning opportunities available at the conference?
A: Elevate 2024 offers excellent opportunities for continuous learning. Last year, attendees earned up to 16 CEUs, and we're on track to offer similar credits this year. This includes participation in breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, and specialized training on the Diligent One Platform.
