Former Thomson Reuters VP of Marketing Amanda Carty Joins as Chief Marketing Officer
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Diligent Corporation, the leading provider of board collaboration solutions to over 4,700 organizations and 140,000 users, today announced that Amanda Carty has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to Diligent, Carty served as VP of Marketing for Thomson Reuters’ tax and accounting division, where she was instrumental in launching its high-return Taxologist initiative, honoring and empowering tax professionals who embrace technology, innovate and challenge the status quo in their fields. She has also held other strategic marketing positions during her nearly decade-long tenure at the firm. Most recently Amanda was recognized as a finalist for Female Executive of the Year – Business Services and Woman of the Year – Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations for the 2016 Stevie Awards Women in Business. As Diligent CMO, she will be responsible for driving global marketing strategies, including product marketing, corporate communications and other essential go-to-market efforts.
“The market opportunity for SaaS solutions like Diligent has never been greater, and Amanda’s extensive experience and proven track record in marketing strategy and demand generation will be essential as the company enters its next growth phase,” said Brian Stafford, Chief Executive Officer and President of Diligent. “Her innovative thinking is exactly what’s needed to take the company to the next-level, and I’m eager to see what we can accomplish together.”
“In a world where cyber attacks, hacking and data leaks can instantly tarnish a company’s value and reputation, board members in particular have a distinct responsibility to put security first—but many aren’t. Diligent has set itself apart as the only company that has custom-built its SaaS solutions for secure board communication and collaboration, no matter where in the world someone is, what device he/she prefers, or how he/she likes to work,” said Carty. “I am honored to join Diligent and look forward to lending my strengths and creative approach to help bring its products to more boardrooms and executive offices around the world.”
