What is the value in attending?
This Modern Governance Summit is a unique, once-a-year opportunity for governance professionals across all Diligent brands to dive deep into the world of board, agenda and entity management best practices. You will enjoy customized learning experiences designed to empower you with tools and techniques to make a lasting difference inside your organization. Sessions are packed with thought leadership and real-world applications of better governance, plus you will have the chance to learn directly from your peers and build meaningful relationships with fellow governance professionals from across the country.

Who should attend?
This event is open to all governance professionals, including corporate secretaries, GCs, board secretaries and clerks, from around the world interested in practicing modern governance. The sessions will be a mix of product education and best practice-sharing around board meeting, agenda and entity management. We will have a dedicated thought leadership track with sessions specifically designed for those interested in taking a deep dive into the latest board governance trends.
Is there a fee to attend?
This virtual conference is free for all registrants
How can I register?
You can register by visiting ModernGovernanceSummit.com. At registration, you will be prompted to select your track based on the product you use or want to learn more about.
When does the conference start and end?
The conference will kick-off Thursday, September 17, at 10:00 AM ET with our opening keynote and sessions throughout the afternoon until 1:00 PM ET. The conference concludes on Friday, September 18 at 1:00 PM ET. Pre-conference workshops will be available on both Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM ET.
When will the final agenda be posted and where can it be found?
The full conference agenda will be released in June and can be found on the conference website at ModernGovernanceSummit.com. All registrants will receive notifications via email as sessions become available. Registrants will have access to all session content after the event concludes.
What will the agenda include?
The agenda will include more than 50 sessions packed with thought leadership, product deep-dives and real-world applications of better governance, plus attendees will have the chance to learn directly from their peers and build meaningful relationships with fellow governance professionals from across the country. In addition to our core sessions, we will be hosting pre-conference workshops and networking opportunities on Thursday, September 17, and Friday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM ET and 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET. More details on the speakers and sessions will be announce as they are confirmed.
What is the cancellation policy?
In the case you need to cancel your registration, you can do so by reaching out to MGS@diligent.com.
What if I am already registered for the in-person event, will I receive a refund?
All Modern Governance Summit registration purchases will be automatically fully refunded to the original form of payment. Those registered for the in-person event will be automatically registered for the virtual conference.
A confirmation email and refund receipt will be emailed to you when we have completed the refund. Refunds take up to 30 business days to post to your credit card. If you have purchased via check or wire transfer, we will contact you directly to verify refund options. If you have not received a refund email by August 1, please contact MGS@diligent.com
What will happen to my hotel reservation?
Hotel reservations made through the Summit Registration system will be cancelled and any deposits paid will be refunded.
If you booked a hotel reservation outside of the Summit Registration system or added additional room nights, it is your responsibility to cancel and confirm the refund status on any deposits paid.
Will Diligent provide reimbursement for airfare or hotel booked outside the Registration System?
No, Diligent will not provide reimbursement for airfare and/or hotels that were booked outside of the Summit Registration System. Many airlines and hotels are offering flexible refund options at this time due to the COVID-19 situation. Please contact your airline and hotel directly to review options.
