Diligent Named As Finalist for European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2015
LONDON, MARCH 26, 2015 — Diligent (www.boardbooks.com), provider of the world’s most widely used board portal, today announced that it was named a finalist in the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2015. The company was shortlisted in both the Managed Services Solution of the Year and Storage/Information Management Solution of the Year categories.
Now in their seventh year, the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2015 recognise and reward excellence and best practice in customer solutions by systems integrators, solution VARs (value-added resellers) and ISVs (independent software vendors) across Europe. They also celebrate service excellence from the vendor distributor community. A total of 83 companies from 32 European countries have made the finals.
Diligent was named a finalist in the awards in recognition of its work with Intu Properties, a major FTSE 100 property company with assets of £8.8bn. Intu Properties’ main board and four board committees all use the Diligent Boardbooks® solution – a digital board portal that is delivered as a managed service – to access and review board information.
The Diligent Boardbooks solution provides directors and management with immediate and secure access to board information, along with the tools to review, discuss, vote and collaborate on it. It helps administrative staff accelerate the production and delivery of board information, increasing efficiency
“A digital board portal is a great way to encourage collaboration between board members,” said Charlie Horrell, Diligent’s Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “For FTSE companies – as with smaller businesses – it’s incredibly important to manage how your board accesses confidential company information. Our solution offers businesses of all sizes a secure way to prepare, distribute and review board materials. To be recognised by the European IT & Software Excellence Awards for our achievements is a great honour.”
